Drum Theatre wishes to acknowledge and thank the many local businesses of Greater Dandenong for their ongoing support in the continued development of The Drum as a vibrant hub for arts and cultural activity in the community.
Our principal sponsor for 2016 is Patterson Cheney Toyota
In 2016, Drum Theatre in partnership with Patterson Cheney Toyota launched Connecting Communities.
This program of events is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the rich cultural talents of Greater Dandenong and will feature the following upcoming events:
Saturday 4 February 2017 - Taqi Khan in Shab-e-Taranoom
Acclaimed Hazara musician Taqi Khan sold out his last performance at the Drum in 2015. This evening will be a celebration of the art of colours, costume and songs with the peaceful people of Afghanistan, incorporating classical, folk and pop music, poetry, dance and comedy.
Saturday 20 May 2017 - Trident Indian Fusion Ensemble
Trident’s sound is a unique blend of two distinct forms of Indian music – combining the classical music of the north and the Carnatic sound of the south. To create their unique sound they find similarities which link their musical culture and connect it to the outside world, by fusing it with Western influences. When all three forms come together they become an irresistible musical offering in an evening that promises to be fun and energetic and one not to be missed!
Tickets available soon. Join our mailing list to be the first to hear.
Drum Theatre would also like to acknowledge and thank our other 2016 sponsors:
